Blackout that still looks like a curtain. A plush chenille with a jacquard weave, heavier and more textured than a flat polyester panel, so the window looks finished during the day and actually dark at night.
They cut light for sleep and take a little of the edge off outside noise. Hang them in a bedroom that needs darkness, or a living room that needs a quieter wall.
